My niece is getting married on New Year's Eve in Scottsdale, Arizona. We will be unable to attend, but I made an assortment of wedding cookies for her and her new hubby,..... which will be delivered to her by my mother-in-law.
Her color theme is blue and pewter, so I used that color combo for her cookies. The pewter in this picture, however, sort of looks green.
This was the first set of wedding cookies that I have made. I enjoyed making them. I hope Michelle and Mark enjoy eating them!

Saints Christmas '09
We're all feeling the "joy" of the Saints season this year. I couldn't resist doing a few New Orleans Saints themed Christmas cookies! They have brought much joy to all here in Louisiana! Let's hope they continue to bring much more in the coming weeks!!!

Maggie's Bouquet
My mom asked my to make a bouquet for her little neighbor who turned 8 today. No theme really here, I just had these already cut out and baked so I just used them and incorporated her favorite color...purple. I'm not so sure the stenciled cookies fits in, but I stuck it in anyway! Maggie had a grin ear to ear when my mom presented her with the bouquet! I don't think it was in her possession more than 5 minutes when she and her sister tore into the cookies!!!! Funny how kids aren't afraid to dive into decorated cookies...whereas adults always say, "They're too pretty to eat!"
First Stenciled Cookie
This was my first try at using a stencil. It came out O.K. I did learn that I need to make the icing much stiffer next time to avoid loosing the detail in the design.
The Mom-to-be!
I got the inspiration for this cookie from a design by Mad About Cookies. I had to laugh because the icing cracked a little on the belly......guess the cookie feels the pressure of what's inside just like I did for my three little ones!!!

Precious Peas!
I was asked to do these for a baby shower with a sweet pea theme
Baby Shower Bouquet
These were part of a bouquet for the mom-to-be who was having the sweet pea themed shower. Because she is having a boy, blue was requested. I was in a rush to get this one done and wasn't able to take a picture of the finished product. It also included 2 baby feet and a baby bottle. I got the inspiration for this cookie from a design by Mad About Cookies.
Birthday Bouquet from The Girls
A daughter ordered this birthday bouquet for her dad. She specified 3 daughters, 1 wife, a ford truck, a harley, and a turkey, I threw in the pumpkin to complete the sentiment.
A Ford and a Harley
A ford pickup truck and a harley were requested by The Girls for their dad's birthday bouquet
The Girls
The daughter who ordered a birthday bouquet for her dad asked me to make 3 girls (the 3 daughters), and 1 "older" girl (the wife)
Happy Birthday Dee!
Today, November 16, my grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday!! She had been a seamstress all of her life. She just recently retired a little less than 2 YEARS ago!!!!! She's incredible!! She was still working doing alterations for a bridal boutique when she was 88!!!!! Taught me everything I know today about sewing. She was my inspiration and influenced me tremendously when I was young to learn the art of sewing. She is still an inspiration today.....working well into her late 80's....definitely does not look 90!!!!....and enjoying her golden years among peers in a quaint retirement home. I made these in tribute to her.
Happy Birthday Dee!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Dee!!!!!!!
Fall Leaves
These were done as part of a fall cookie bouquet. I particularly like the way these turned out. I just love the colors of fall!!!
Turkeys
Another version of a turkey made from a flower cutter. Inspiration for this design came from a fellow cookie artist....Cookie Crazie.
Turkeys
These were fun to do!! I used a flower cookie cutter to do these and simply cut the bottom flat.
Happy Birthday, Deer!
These were made for my husband's birthday. Needless to say, he's into the deer hunting thing!!
