Confirmation Cookies

I made these for the reception that followed the confiramtion of the candidates at St. Joseph Church.
I got the inspiration for this design from Cindy at Sweets and Such.  She was so gracious to let me use her design for these cookies.  This is my interpretation of her design.  You can view her design here:

Spring Bouquets for Administrative Assistants Day

A spring bouquet ordered for Administrative Assistants Day. I had picked up this cute antique-look pitcher at the end of last summer.  It was perfect for this arrangement.

A close up of the cookies  used for the Spring Bouquet.

These are 3 sunflower bouquets for the aministrative assistants at my children's school.  I know the picture leaves a lot to be desired, but it was a rush job before I had to go deliver them.  Better than none at all!

The sunflowers close up.  I made some cute "Sunflower Pots" with one sunflower and two leaf cookies arranged in a small clay pot that looked like a potted sunflower.  Sorry, didn't get any pictures of that one.  I'll make more and post at a later date.

Thank You Cookies in Pam Plaid

I made these for the mom of one of my daughter's classmates.  She was just so super kind and generous to my daughter on a recent play date.  I named them in honor of an awesome cookie designer, Pam, who's wonderful plaid creations inspired me to do these in plaid.  She has so many fabulous plaid creations that she has done, and I often refer to them for inspirations when I want to do plaid on cookies. cookiecrazie.blogspot.com  So for her help in inspiring me, I've named them in her honor.
While sitting in the cry room in church yesterday, there was a little girl wearing a precious yellow and light blue dress.  That's where the color inspiration comes from on these!  As I watched her play with my son, all I could think was, "Those colors would be cute on a cookie!".

Family Fun Day At St. Joseph Church

Every year, the Sunday following Easter is designated as family fun day at our church parish of St. Joseph. I was asked to make 100 cookies for this event. I had intentions of making these early in the week, but the kids were home on Easter break plus I had 2 other orders to fill.  Needless to say, it was last minute, so the designs were kept simple.

These two designs were the brainchild of fellow friend and expert cookie decorator Callye of Sweet Sugar Belle.  Her work is simply breathtaking!!  Such creativity goes into her work, and she cranks out platter after platter of unbelievable cookies nonstop!  She's like a one woman factory!!  She's one of my biggest cookie idols! http://www.sweetsugarbelle.blogspot.com/

This is what 100+ cookies looks like.  I still can't believe I finished them in one evening-night-wee morning hours.  That's why the design was kept simple.

Happy 40th Birthday Bouquet

This was an order for a 40th birthday.  I decided that turning 40 should be a reason to celebrate, as opposed to the "morbid" occasion that most view it to be.  With that said, I used bright, cheerful colors on this one, and made it look festive, as well the occasion should be!! Happy 40th to all those celebrating it this year!!  Make it a happy celebration!!!

The center cookie says "Happy Birthday".  It is hard to see in this photo.  I probably should have used a darker icing for the lettering.

Here is a close up of the center cookie.

Sports Birthday Cookie Assortment

I made these cookies for my nephew who just celebrated his 13th birthday.  He plays football, basketball, and baseball.  So, all of his favorite sports are depicted in this assortment.

"Andy" the maltipoo......subject of the Maltipoo Bouquet. This was challenging trying to figure out how I was going to do him. I had several ideas, but decided to keep it simple and it worked! Was quite easy to do after the first one was done!
